A Toasty Engagement Session in Jester Park and Valley Junction
If you live in Iowa, you know what that intense summer humidity feels like. And I mean it when I say that this day was HOT. Joe and I were driving to Des Moines from Cedar Rapids to meet Annie and Casey for their engagement session. Just miles away from reaching our destination, our car overheated! (Did I mention it was hot?!) Lucky for us, our good friend came to the rescue and took us the rest of the way to Valley Junction while Annie + Casey graciously drove us between photoshoot locations, camera gear in tow! They were such troopers dealing with not only the heat, but the swarm of mosquitos that had made their home at Jester Park that evening. But you wouldn’t know it by looking at the photos, because they look like legitimate models! Despite the heat and countless mosquito bites we came home with, we had so much fun taking their engagement pictures and can’t wait for their big day in just a couple of weeks!
