Snowy December Wedding in Downtown Cedar Rapids
Kyle and Leesa’s wedding day is one to remember for a few reasons. Number one, it was approximately -30 degrees on the wedding day. If you’re from Iowa, you know this is not an exaggeration, but an actual reality of Iowa winters! Kyle, Leesa and the entire bridal party were so cooperative and smiled through all the painfully cold outdoor pictures. As wedding photographers, it’s hard to pass up a beautiful snowfall, even if it means our fingers are frozen to the camera by the end of the day.
And number two, Kyle is my cousin and this is the wedding Joe and I met at! We have so many fun memories from this day and truly cherish looking back at these wedding pictures. If you look closely, you’ll see me in the crowd trying to catch the bouquet. Spoiler alert, I didn’t catch it, but I still managed to catch the attention of the photographer!
Keep scrolling to see all the beautiful memories from Kyle and Leesa’s wedding day! They got married at St. Paul’s Methodist Church downtown, headed to Black Sheep Social Club and New Bohemia District for some chilly outdoor pictures and ended the night at Eastbank Wedding Venue for the party portion of the evening.
A huge shoutout to Kyle and Leesa for allowing Joe to capture this day, and ultimately, introducing us! And here we are a few years later, getting married and running our photography business together. We love our couples and the amazing journey working with them has taken us on!
