Sunny and 75
Ok let’s be real. We LOVE Iowa. But as wedding photographers, we’ve experienced every possible type of weather when photographing weddings and engagements. Snow, -30 degree windchill, 110 degrees with 95% humidity, thunderstorms, tornados (yes, we are serious!) and everything else in between.
But with Cassie and Jared? The weather was absolutely PERFECT. Sunny, 75 degrees, hardly any bugs and the slightest breeze to just perfectly move your hair in the wind to make you look like a model.
On top of that, Cassie and Jared were so much fun to work with! They never stopped smiling and let us take pictures for a solid 2 hours. I mean, it was perfect weather…we couldn’t give up an opportunity for gorgeous golden hour and sunset portraits!
Historic Charm and Serene Nature
We started by wondering around Main Street Cedar Falls where they had their first date at The Brass Tap. We took advantage of the marquee lights and historic architecture of the neighborhood. We then headed to George Wyth State Park where we found a huge open field with lots of green. Our evening ended with a vibrant and warm golden hour. We had so much fun taking pictures and enjoying the beautiful weather. Here’s to hoping for good weather at their November wedding!
