An intimate outdoor wedding in October

Like so many couples this year, Claire and Aaron had to make changes to their special day. While they couldn’t have their full guest list, they were still able to celebrate amongst their family and closest friends and it was so much fun! The weather was gorgeous. It was a warm and sunny Saturday in October and the trees just started changing colors. The day was full of happy tears and laughs. You could see how happy the two families were that Claire and Aaron had found each other.

A sunny Outdoor ceremony

Their wedding was at Bella Sala Wedding Venue in Tiffin, Iowa. Their newly renovated bridal suite was amazing. With plenty of window light, tons of space to move around and fun furniture and decor, it was the perfect place for getting ready photos. They even have a separate room for the bride to get into her dress, which made it super easy to have Claire do a first look with her bridesmaids.

For the ceremony, they got married out on the lawn in front of the waterfall. They chose not to see each other before the ceremony, and we were able to capture the huge smile on Aaron’s face as Claire walked down the aisle. Aaron’s mom and one of his groomsmen sang during the ceremony and both Claire and Aaron wrote their own vows. We love when couples incorporate special moments into their ceremony.

After the ceremony, the lighting was perfect to capture bridal party and family pictures. Everyone headed inside to enjoy a cocktail hour while we hung out with Claire and Aaron and took some ‘We just got married!’ portraits! The evening continued with heartfelt speeches, first dances and an awesome dance party. Thank you Claire and Aaron for letting us be a part of your day!
