Cedar Rapids Wedding | Epic Event Center Wedding Venue | Courtney + Dane

It was a busy Labor Day weekend for us with weddings back to back! But when you work with the BEST couples, it makes it so much fun. We kicked off the weekend with Courtney and Dane’s wedding at Epic Event Center wedding venue in Marion, Iowa.

A Sunny Labor Day Iowa Wedding

We started our morning hanging out with the bridal party as they all got ready for the day. We were able to capture a tearful first look between Courtney and her bridesmaids in the spacious bridal suite. And over with the guys, we caught Dane and his groomsmen playing a few quick games of air hockey before getting ready.

Our favorite feature of Epic is the large willow tree outside. We were so happy to see it was still standing strong after last month’s Derecho storm that came through Iowa! It made for the perfect spot for Courtney and Dane’s first look and portraits with their cute pup Winter.

Outdoor Gazebo Ceremony

We were so excited we got the opportunity to photograph a ceremony at the gazebo outside of Epic. What a beautiful place to say ‘I do!’ Dane’s dad officiated the ceremony, which made it that much more meaningful and special.

Bridal Party Portraits at Lowe Park

After saying ‘I do’ we headed to Lowe Park for a few more fun bridal party pictures. It was still pretty sunny, but the lodge provided plenty of shade and a beautiful pond and flowers for taking pictures. We headed back to Epic and snuck out for a few more sunset portraits under the willow tree before heading back inside to get the party started. Thank you Courtney and Dane for such a fun day!
